Ashley Cherry

Ashley Cherry, PhD, is an assistant professor of Mathematics at Lubbock Christian University. Her research field is applied mathematics with an emphasis on nonlinear programming, but most recently, she is exploring the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning as she strives to help students see the ubiquity and practicality of mathematics across disciplines. She is a former MAA Texas Section Project NExT (New Experiences in Teaching) Fellow and regularly attends workshops on innovative teaching techniques and undergraduate research in mathematics. She received her BA in mathematics from Lubbock Christian University, and her MS and PhD in mathematics from Texas Tech University.
